Children's Chorus
COMPASSion Music Studio seeks young singers ages 6 through 12 who love to perform and are self-motivated.
The ability to read music is not required.
In this ensemble, children will increase their music proficiency, and develop performance skills in a fun and interactive environment.​​​
We need a minimum of 4 students interested to open a class on Thursdays 5:00-6:00pm.
CLASS DESCRIPTION
Rehearsals are taught through musical play and a variety of teaching styles. The song selections may vary in contemporary & traditional styles to explore different sonorities & languages.

No audition required & no previous musical training is expected.

TUITIOn
New students: $33 per class
Enrolled families: $10 per choir class if enrolled in voice & piano lessons.
All materials & music are provided.
POLICIES & Procedures
PAYMENT All payments must be completed before the first day of class. A full refund may be provided after student's first class if student chooses not to participate.
PERFORMANCES are held at our studio and are reserved for family & friends of participants.
MATERIALS Materials fee is already included in tuition. COMPASSion Music Studio purchases all music education and performance materials in support to the arts and respect for musical colleagues & copyrights law. No copies will be given to students to avoid the purchase of materials.
Performance opportunities, all books and sheet music will be provided by teacher.
MAKE UP LESSONS Class cancellations are reserved for sickness and emergencies. Please notify teacher of the schedule change. A video recap will be shared with parent for student to continue weekly preparation.
TARDINESS (it happens!) In case of tardiness please know that the class will finish at the same scheduled time.
TOO EARLY Please feel free to come in and relax in the lobby or kitchen.
PARENT PARTICIPATION/PICK UP TIME Parents are encouraged to plan to participate as an audience member or become a student the last 10 minutes of class as a way to review materials with student & teacher and give confidence to the child.
HOME PRACTICE Students are encouraged to review the materials prepared during each rehearsal. ~ 2-5 min review a day!

DISCONTINUATION BY COMPASSion Music Studio
Unsafe, violent, or disruptive behaviors will not be tolerated during music class or waiting area. Parent is responsible for any damages in the facilities. We reserve the right to discontinue any student’s enrollment – for unreadiness, behavioral problems, verbal/written harassment, threatening remarks to teacher/staff, noncompliance with COMPASSion Music Studio policies and procedures, teacher safety concerns at COMPASSion Music Studio LLC’s sole discretion. Unused tuition may or may not be refunded to the adult student/parent, solely based upon COMPASSion Music Studio LLC’s discretion and the severity of the situation.
